Recycling has been discontinued for the time being. We will update this section if the county starts recycling again.

• Kearny County operates a recycling center located at the Kearny County Landfill.

• The City of Lakin operates a cardboard route with 14 dumpsters located in Lakin.

• Recycling trailers are located at Kearny County Hospital and the Lakin High School.

• Bins are provided for:

  • Plastics 1 [pop bottles] & 2 [milk jugs]

  • Office paper

  • Aluminum Cans

  • Newspapers

  • Magazines

• These trailers are emptied on an as needed basis

• Unfortunately we do not except glass at this time
